Project 1825, Day 13

Last day of this mini-project, and I’m posting it early since I have to work all day tomorrow, and usually by the time I get home I’m too tired to really do any shooting. Plus, the kids and I are having a scary movie night with the very promising “Paranormal Activity 3.” I probably won’t sleep for a week. Anyway, today’s color is:

Seriously, that’s the actual color. Although it does also say ‘Rojo’ for those of you that no habla. First up one of my favorite subjects, mostly because they don’t move…

Turns out that red is a very difficult color to post-process. Even a tiny bit of additional contrast or saturation can result in blotchy color and loss of detail. I had to lower the saturation and then up the contrast ever so slightly to get a nice look. I don’t know if this is due to my camera, or if lots of digital cameras have difficulty reproducing red, or if it was just my crappy lighting. Moving on, tasty fruit, but not your Granny Smith variety…

Here we have a nice candle in an unspecified scent, so we’ll call it “Red Smell.”

And lastly, back to the flowers, just a different angle…

That’s it! Mini project finished! Hope everyone has a great weekend, and God bless!
