Project 1825, Day 4

Well, well. Seems I went and forgot to post pictures for a couple of days for project 1825. It’s time to make amends. First up, rolling on with the self portraits, here is a shot of Rambo-style shaving…

Tech details:  0.4s, f4.5, ISO 100 at 70mm. Why such an incredibly slow shutter speed? Because I don’t have lights, my friends. The only lighting on this shot was an overhead ordinary household bulb, probably about 100W. I can’t even use the pop-up flash on the camera as the length of the lens barrel blocks a lot of the light, creating very ugly shadows. Do you have any idea what I would give for a nice flash? About $400, that’s what I’d give. Alas, my pockets are empty, so the elusive flash continues to…well…elude me.
